The house is a family home built in the early 1950s


The nearest restaurant and pub is 1/3 mile away and there are several restaurants, shops, post office, supermarket, service station and pharmacy within about a 1/2 mile. We provide our own local map which shows nearby establishments of interest to visitors as well as how to find us.

The local train station 1.1 miles from here, with free parking, is on the main line between Coventry and Birmingham.

The National Exhibition Centre is 10 minutes by train with frequent services and about 5 1/2 miles by road. Birmingham New Street is 30 minutes and Coventry 10 minutes.

We are about 1/3 mile from the Heart of England Way foot path

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

The house is approached from the road by a gently sloping tarmac drive. There is level space for five cars parked directly in front of the house with fixed and automatic lighting during darkness and space for at least three others on the drive without obstruction to other vehicles. Please be aware that later arrivals may want parking space and park considerately.

You are normally welcome to arrive any time but please tell us your expected arrival time beforehand especially if before 5pm. to ensure someone is here. You are welcome to leave luggage earlier and collect your key. We also have a Key safe for pre-arranged key pickup if we are not here. You can come and go as often as you like during your stay, but your room may not be fully serviced if you stay in for most of the day and normal household activities may disturb you.

Main Entrance & Reception

Access is by the front porch and front door. The minimum door width here is 32 inches (81cm.) The outer door has a 2 inch (5cm.) threshold and the inner door a 4 inch (10cm.) step and 2 inch (5cm.) threshold. The doors are 53 inches (1.35m apart) Both doors are opened with a key and both have a doorbell push button. The hall has wood flooring with a mat inside the door.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

The stairs are to the left running straight up in one flight of 14 carpeted steps, not steep, with a right hand hand rail. The dining room is the first door on the right of the hall with a 30 inch (76cm.) wide door. The floor is carpeted.

¨›In the hall is a display stand with local restaurant menus, timetables, tourist brochures and local maps etc.

There is no other guest accommodation on the ground floor.

Dining Room

Breakfast is served normally from 7am. to 9.30 am but we can usually serve at any time from 5am to 11am with prior notice, All food is individually cooked 'Just in time' so we ask you to fill in a breakfast menu the previous day. A radio/CD player is provided for breakfast guests.

We rarely serve evening meals but guests are welcome to bring take-away food into the dining room and we will provide plates, cutlery and condiments as required.


Upstairs, the three bedrooms are all accessed from one carpeted corridor, all have 30 inch (76cm.) wide doors. All bedrooms are carpeted, and have en suite showers, WC and wash basins with vinyl floors and adjustable height showers, hair dryer, shower caps, soap shampoo, tissues etc. and rooms have bedside lighting, ample mirrors, remote control TVs and clock radios with courtesy trays having coffee, tea, hot chocolate making facilities, bottled water and biscuits. There is also a welcome/information folder.

Bedroom one has two 3ft (90cm.)inch single beds or a king sized double bed, the TV is flat screen digital. There are two bedside tables, wardrobe, writing table, seat, luggage rest, chair, wall light with switch above the bed and central light. The en suite bathroom is 47 to 64 inch (1.2m to 1.62m) wide by 48inch (2.02m) not including the recessed sink unit and 40 inch x 30 inch (1m x 0.75 m.) shower enclosure with Mira power shower. The folding door to this room only allows 24 inch(61cm) wide access.

Room 2 has two 3ft (90cm.) single beds, both with cabinets and bedside lights, a writing desk, armchair and wardrobe.

Room 3 has a 4ft 6 inch (1.37m.) double bed, wall mounted individual reading spotlights, central light, arm chair, built in unit with hanging space, desk, reading light, mirror, shelf This room also has separate remote control, air conditioning/hot air.

Rooms 2 and 3 have en-suit facilities with 31.5inch (80cm.) general width and 30 inch (75 x 75cm.) shower cabinets with Triton power showers.

All rooms have centrally heated radiators with individual thermostat control.

Lighting is good throughout with good colour contrasts. There are smoke alarms in all guest bedrooms and corridors.

Smoking is not allowed inside the house and is illegal in the public spaces.
